Moon, Mun: preciousness (Thai Isan)
Moon River (แม่น้ำมูล) run through 10 provinces in the NE part of Thailand from Khoa Yai National park, Nakhon Ratchasima. It is a tributary of the Mekong river.The length of the river is 640 km. cover the basin larger than 69,000 km2. The river is 13.6% of the whole river basin area in Thailand. It feeds approximately 26,000 cubic kilometres of water per year to Mekong river.
